Deep Reset — Live Sound Immersion

  • Sensorium 1434 Rupert St Vancouver, BC, V5V 3C1 Canada (map)

The Experience
The experience begins before you enter the dome. In the open space of Sensorium, you are guided through a gentle arrival, often a breath practice or body scan, to help you transition out of the external world and into your body.

This opening acts as a reset point. Attention shifts inward, the pace slows, and the nervous system begins to settle, preparing you to receive the experience more deeply.

From here, you enter the dome and are guided into stillness. Live instruments begin to unfold, layered, responsive, and attuned to the energy of the room. Low-frequency vibrations are also felt through the floor. Sound moves not just around you, but through you, creating a deeply felt experience that evolves moment by moment.

As the session deepens, the body begins to release held tension. The mind quiets. Many people drift into a dreamlike state, somewhere between waking and rest, where the body feels heavy, supported, and at ease.

Because the sound is live, no two sessions are exactly the same. Each experience creates a unique pathway towards helping you release, regulate, and reset.

Sensory Technology
Deep Reset blends live performance with Sensorium’s immersive system to amplify the effects of sound:

  • Guided Opening Protocols: Breathwork or body-based awareness practices prepare the nervous system for deeper reception

  • Live Sound Instrumentation: Real-time instruments (e.g., bowls, chimes, tonal textures) create a responsive, evolving sound field

  • Spatial Audio Integration: Live sound is enhanced within a 3D auditory environment, surrounding the body and guiding attention inward

  • Vibroacoustic Support: Low-frequency vibration felt through the floor grounds the experience in the body and supports physical release

  • Soft Light Environment: Minimal, calming light reduces sensory load and supports down-regulation

  • Dome Acoustics: The enclosed geometry allows sound to be experienced spatially and physically, not just audibly

The Science
This experience is informed by research across breathwork, sound therapy, and nervous system regulation:

  • State Transitioning (Ritual Entry): Guided breath and body awareness help shift the nervous system out of external vigilance and into internal regulation

  • Auditory Entrainment: Layered, rhythmic sound can guide the brain toward slower states associated with relaxation and reduced mental activity

  • Parasympathetic Activation: Slow, immersive sensory environments support a shift into “rest and regulate” states

  • Vibroacoustic Relaxation: Low-frequency vibration stimulates the body, helping release muscular tension and reduce stress

  • Reduced Cognitive Load: Minimal visual and task-based input allows the brain to disengage from overthinking and settle

This supports a progression from arrival → unwinding → deep regulation.

Outcome
After a session, you may feel:

  • A noticeable release of physical and emotional tension

  • A quieter, more settled mind

  • A deep sense of relaxation without effort

  • A feeling of being grounded and present in the body

  • A sense of reset, like starting fresh

Over time, regular sessions may support reduced baseline stress, improved recovery, and a greater ability to transition out of high-demand states more easily.
